This piece grew out of a bit of childhood nostalgia - specifically those colourful little sweets that seemed to eat through every bit of pocket money you had as a kid. For me, that was Tooty Frooties.
‘Tootifrooti’ became a way of capturing that same playful energy through colour, movement and shape. Reds, greens, purples and blues bounce across the surface like flavours spilling from a sweet packet, creating a composition that feels lively, bright and full of rhythm.
There’s a carefree quality running through the painting, but enough balance within the layers and structure to stop it feeling chaotic. Some elements push forward, others settle back, giving the piece movement without overwhelming the space around it.
On the wall, it brings colour, warmth and personality into a room. The kind of artwork that naturally lifts the atmosphere and tends to spark conversation over time.
