This painting grew out of experimentation with masking tape, not to create precision, but to introduce structure that could later be disrupted and broken apart.
Clean geometric lines form the framework, while sweeping marks and layered movement push back against that order, creating tension between control and release. Some areas feel deliberate and structured, others more instinctive and unpredictable.
A textured white square in the lower corner acts as a quiet anchor within the composition. Created using crushed eggshells mixed into the paint, it catches light differently to the rest of the surface, adding another subtle layer of contrast and balance.
From a distance, the piece feels sharp and graphic. Up close, textures, marks and shifting layers begin to soften that clarity, giving the painting more depth and movement over time.
On the wall, it brings focus, rhythm and energy into a space without overwhelming it.
